This was a family court matter. Father illegally left the prescribed boundaries and left the state to live with another woman Fairness & Impartiality: This judge did not read the file. We had to spend 16 months trying to get the father back to the area. Two weeks before father left, he agreed to reunification counseling with children and their mother. mother paid counseling fees. Father took off gave false address. judge failed to read file and repeatedly blustered though hearings. Judicial Temperament: Judge barked orders, then bent over backwards to instruct father who was not represented. Multiple delays granted to father. Meanwhile children were exposed to sexual and physical abuse in girlfriends home by her teenage male children. Communication: Judge blustered and barked commands, said offside comments toward grandmother doubting her testimony. grandmother later obtained full legal custody in Oregon. Timeliness: Father acted in bad faith with this exact court who approved and moved forward with reconciliation counseling. This judge did not read file. Our counsel was flabbergasted at judge’s lack of knowledge. Judge flipped through file in front of us apparently ignorant of contents.
