Enforcement action
Legal Knowledge: I think this judge was knowledgeable but was also trying to be fair and give the other party a chance to comply. She made sure all the elements were met for her to be able to enforce, which saves time later. When it became clear after many hearings that other party was playing games, she gave him one more chance to comply or be incarcerated for contempt. That worked and he did comply. I was awarded attorney fees as well.
Fairness & Impartiality: I think the judge went out of her way to be fair to the other side. I wished she would have been tougher on the other side’s noncompliance with her order but I do understand why we give parties a chance to comply and a fair process.
Communication: We appeared later to enter an order. The other side was pro se and tried to argue the case again. The judge quickly stopped that and explained that we were there to enter her order regardless of whether that party disagreed with her order. “The writing needs to match what I ruled orally last time.” When the other side started asking legal questions of the judge, she reminded him she could not give him legal advice since she was impartial and reminded that party to seek legal advice from a lawyer. I think she struck a good balance between clarifying the purpose of the hearing but not giving legal advice to a litigant.
Timeliness: Court was on time and our hearing was held in a reasonable time as to the docketed time.
Judicial Temperament: Judge was very patient with other side’s continuous excuses for noncompliance. These were unbelievable stories. She didn’t get snappy. Judge just reminded litigant of their obligation to comply and the consequences.

Family Law
Legal Knowledge: She has been on the bench way too long and does not know laws and takes whatever the attorney says as valid.
Fairness & Impartiality: Unfair to litigants that are pro se - tells the. to go get an attorney or else even when they cannot afford one. Biased with attorneys that are in her court often and allows them to move freely in her court. Grants protective orders often against attorneys that file against pro se litigants and cannot afford an attorney which flipsa child custody case around.
Judicial Temperament: Rolls her eyes, yells at litigants, allows her clerk Ali to do as she wishes including lying and changing the docket, setting hearings for attorneys she likes and denying or set hearings for pro se litigants hearings several months out but will set a hearing for an attorney she likes the next day.
Communication: Communicates with attorneys outside of a pro se litigants presence. Both her clerk Ali and her do it.
Timeliness: She shows up at 8:00 and is often done by 2-3 and is not in the courthouse on a daily/weekly basis.
