Order of Protection/DV Legal Knowledge: Judge Gardner does not have a working knowledge of the entire process and procedures for orders of protections. Fairness & Impartiality: It is critical that this judge retires for the safety of dv victims in TN. She did not issue an OOP in one case where the perpetrator failed to show but his attorney brought his resume and headshot just to show the judge he was an “important person.” In another case, she would not issue an OOP against the perpetrator because she wasn’t going to deny this father visitation. Years later this “father” would be charged with raping his child. Great job, Gardner. Judicial Temperament: Rude and unprofessional. When any judge begins to believe that because they wear a robe they have a right to treat others as subjects, it’s time for you to go. You work for the taxpayers of this county.
