child custody Legal Knowledge: This judge made a ruling separating young children from their mother based solely on the testimony of her abusive husband and adult child who lives in the house. The judge heard no testimony except a few statements from father’s attorney while mother’s inept lawyer said nothing. The judge made no findings of fact and ruled this mother could have no contact with her two very young children until there was a very expensive custodial evaluation done. I was there and watching this unfold. I was shocked. Fairness & Impartiality: I still cannot get over how this judge made up her own law with the woman I saw in her courtroom on that day. The know there are other stories just like this one. Judicial Temperament: This judge dressed down the mother without even confronting the father for stealing money from mother and taking a bat to her car. When mother’s lawyer tried to explain these details to this judge, she was not interested in the father’s violent behavior. Communication: The law? what is that?
