I was very disappointed with my experience in this case. I left the hearing feeling like my child’s best interests were not given the attention I had hoped for. From my perspective, I did not feel heard, and I left feeling discouraged by the outcome. My personal impression was that the outcome seemed to favor the parent who had greater financial resources to hire an attorney, rather than focusing on what I believed was in the child’s best interests. That was how the process felt to me, and it left me with concerns about whether both parents were truly on equal footing. I truly miss having Judge Robert Gusinsky on the bench. In my experience, he seemed to place a strong emphasis on the child’s well-being and what was in the child’s best interests.

★★☆☆☆ Litigant

Judicial Temperament: on the stand he is calm and polite. he very politely abuses litigants and destroys credibility of the system Fairness & Impartiality: some cases he seemed pretty fair, other cases seemed like he already made his mind up. in my case, he already knew what he was going to do, put finances as a priority over child safety Timeliness: takes months to be seen, but very quick to respond to motions, never sent me the order, and doesn't seem to care that opposing counsel doesn't do her job right. Legal Knowledge: he seemed very knowledgeable, he didn't have to look up laws, he actually sounds very well spoken. But he clearly wishes he was able to do criminal law, he will put you in jail for anything he can. Communication: the few cases I've watched he is very articulate and thoroughly explains your rights and what going on. seems very professional until you get his ruling.
