I am a family resource for a child in foster care. I witnessed this judge handle a dependency hearing for the child. The biological parent was challenging to deal with and non-compliant in the hearing watched. The case history I am familiar with. The family history, I am familiar with, as I an ongoing family support. Nevius was observed as empathetic to the parent as a parent himself, motivating the parent to cooperate with the process of complying with the corrective action plan. He was not the ongoing judge, so this was the only observation I can report on.
