Child Custody Legal Knowledge: She does not follow the laws and does what she wants Fairness & Impartiality: She favors abusive fathers and punishes protective mothers. She says one thing during one appearance but then rips apart the party for following what was discussed at the next appearance. but does not have any consequences to other party for not following orders. Judicial Temperament: She loses her temper for no reason. She screams and degrades parties even when they have done nothing wrong. She is unprofessional. She re-victimizes abuse victims. Communication: She is not consistent in her statements. She will say one thing one time and the opposite the next time. She likes to do things off the record, like mediation She runs or speaking to children. Then there is no record of what was said and it is your word against hers in future hearings when she lies about what was said. Timeliness: Decisions take a long time. and then the orders are very vague which results in future hearings being needed.

Judge Decostro was complicit in allowing my children to be subjected to a criminally convicted abuser and treated me as an abuse victim as if I was the actual criminal. Her decisions allowed an abusive man to contents to abuse and damage children. Fairness & Impartiality: Judge Decostro allows emotionally driven allegations and slander to be presented before the court without any evidence and is incapable of being impartial. She has a reputation as being an impossible roadblock of justice in the county. All the lawyers I've spoken with are very familiar with her history of striking things from the record that are very much so valid for court and flying off the handle unprovoked. Judicial Temperament: She demonstrates absolutely no respect for mothers especially. She is vicious to abuse victims and short tempered. Ruthlessly flippant. Communication: Her communication style is authorition and defensive for her staff and decisions only. Any attempt to speak for the party she has deemed to be wrong based on previous notes by her staff will be met with nothing but venom and heartlessness. Timeliness: She makes decisions with too much haste and lack of consideration.
