As the overseeing judge, Judge Gill had responsibility for the proceedings under her supervision. In my experience, serious procedural and legal concerns were not meaningfully addressed. Cases were dismissed without adjudication, and a timely sanctions motion raising frivolous-conduct issues was also dismissed despite the absence of any lawful factual or legal basis ever being established for opening the matter in the first place. From my perspective, this reflected either a troubling lack of oversight or a failure to ensure that those operating under the court’s authority were following the law. That kind of indifference to procedural integrity damages public trust in the judicial system.
