Hon. William Shanahan

Legal Knowledge: While the judge shows empathy from time to time he lacks attention on evidence presented. showed unethical conduct when holding a conversation with just one party from the case in chambers.

Legal Knowledge: After Appelette court overturned his ruling, instead of looking at what needed to be fixed. He immediately stated he was writing the same order with serious safety concerns the Court of Appeals pointed out. Leaving out evidence and court documents presented in court. Fairness & Impartiality: When presented with a ruling that the Appellate Court overturned his ruling, instead of following their guidelines for the safety issues presented, he in turn, left out key pieces in evidence in the Facts of Findings or diminished the severity of issues presented. Judicial Temperament: When a witness on the stand was stating to an attorney, “that is not what I said” when asked why they stated something. Judge Shanahan in turn called the witness hostile on the stand. Timeliness: Judge Shanahan nor his team will not communicate or understand these are families they are dealing with and in turn leave people waiting for months/years. Communication: When observing Judge Shanahan said one thing in court, and the case had a pro bono side. The attorney for one side and Judge Shanahan had meetings in chambers without the pro bono side to clarify meaning on wording even though it was stated in open court.

Judicial Temperament: Very kind. Legal Knowledge: Great understanding of the law. Follows the law.
