Judge Meslow failed to issue an ex parte on a harassment restraining order filed by petitioner after escaping an ex. Leaving a relationship is the most dangerous time for domestic abuse victims and Judge Meslow failed to respond. Non issuance of an ex parte resulted in 3 additional months of intense harassment due to court scheduling delays. The petitioner filed the HRO after escaping the abusive relationship. Ultimately the restraining order became active following a hearing and the respondent violated the restraining order.
