HONORABLE is the last word that comes to mind when it comes to this mans courtroom. As a father himself, he should be ashamed of how he operates to destroy other families. This man took my child before she was discharged from the Hospital so we could not take her home to Ohio, where all her family lived. My child was placed in a foster home 300 miles from ours. I challenged jurisdiction openly in court and those records just so happen to not be included in the transcripts, or the transcript would say "inaudible". The referee said (with Judge later approval) "I don't understand what she is getting at". The record was still clear that we were challenging jurisdiction. The attorneys that work for this judge are completely unethical and would not file a single thing our entire case over 3 years. One finally did 6 days before our termination trial, so Pierangeli refused to acknowledge the Jurisdictional challenge saying it was filed too late. The attorney knew of the court date 4 months ahead of time. The adjudication hearing was not held for 143 days after the initial hearing and I had refused to waive my right to speedy trial. The referee waived it anyways and Pierangeli signed off on that too. The attorney told us at this hearing over zoom that "the court will not accept not guilty" and that "our choices where no contest or guilty." Reluctantly, under duress and coerced, we pled no contest. We were falsely made to believe the case was being transferred. Instead the caseworker "Armold" changed the narrative to say we had "moved to Ohio after opening of the case". We have always lived in Ohio. The judge failed to contact Ohio even though that was her home state. The judge cancelled a hearing the morning of at 8:30 am. Us being 5 hours away and required to appear we were already in Michigan and had to just turn around and go home. This judge had met us for the first time at termination hearing. He allowed the former foster parents and the new adoptive parents that my child had already been living with for 6 months prior to this TPR Hearing, to sit through the entire 3 days of litigation. None of them were called as witnesses. He then held the permanency hearing directly after our termination and a name change was done. He had not even wrote up his facts and conclusions of law for my case and was signing off on her adoption basically. The court also never sent the final court orders to our home. My rights were terminated based off of hearsay testimony, no expert witnesses and the case worker was testifying about things she was not a caseworker for. This judge was okay with the Foster Care worker from Michigan coming to Ohio without his court order or any order to do so at all, and removed her from her grandmother's care. As we were joining a zoom hearing shortly before her removal the Lgal was throwing his pen down saying "oh it's a money case." He was not informed of her being taken back to Michigan either. and once he heard he said he thought her BEST INTEREST (the controlling factor) was with her grandmother. The review board still agreed with the agencys decision to take her. Even though they told us it was due to a contract , then switched to safety concerns after the fact. The Ohio worker had done a pop in visit at my home and she was directed to her grandmother. She was found "safe in her crib . confirmed with grandparents". The Lgal should have filed for her return to grandma, and the Judge should have seen that a Michigan Fostercare worker, not an investigator, had crossed 2 state lines to take her and she had been in Ohio with none of the parties being in Michigan for 15 months. Yet Pierangeli still carried out a termination and boasted about the fringes on his flag and how "the last person that tested them ended up in jail." THIS COURT HAS CONTRACTS WITH THE AGENCY AND HOSPITALS AND CALL FAMILIES TORN APART "PROJECTS". These Are major conflict of interest and all odds are against the family. My baby girl was separated from her 4 siblings that we still have. Once again Pierangeli failed to require that her relationship with them be continued through out the case and still. We were denied a last visit with our little girl. The day before he terminated our rights over Money my little girl was so happy to see us " That's my mommy and daddy! yeah!! " The agency watched us through the double mirror like many other times and said we were always appropriate and prepared. When the visit was over my baby tried to get in our car. She thought she was coming home!! Instead, that was the last time she got to see us or her siblings. Oh and one more thing, my child broke her leg after being with the adoptive family for 3 months. We were still very active in her life and we were not even told for 5 days. The caseworker blamed my 2.5 year old at the time for "being told several times to stop jumping off a kiddie recliner, and ended up with a broken leg. full cast to her hip. She is living all the a attention though." The judge didn't seem to even care that she had been only exceeding and healthy in our care/families care and lost weight, broken bones and acting out after our calls (because she missed us) and considerably sick often after being taken. My child was nothing more than a pay check to this judge. Facts do not matter, nor is this man a neutral party. To anyone that gets involved with this court...Pray hard, file whatever you think you should and know your worth. The judge has no business passing bias or judgement onto parents when he holds fake money, greed and insider corruption and agency agenda above his Oath. Legal Knowledge: If 0 was an option I'd pick it. UCCJEA was ignored. Did not contact Home State and refused to "hear our challenges because they were filed after the deadline." Which was corroborated. Unethical and not neutral party. Fairness & Impartiality: Rolls his eyes and talks about his authority. Very clear he has no emotion or care about the truth of the matters, only his interests. Judicial Temperament: He acts as if you are keeping him form something. Cancelled the day of a hearing and we live 300miles from the court. Allowed several people in the court room without our permission that did not testify. Communication: Told us we clearly don't love our child because we refused to agree to the agency demands when we have never lived in that state and our child was kept 5 hours one way from us to minimize our bonding with a newborn. Was okay with Fostercare worker coming to Ohio without a court order and taking my child after being healthy and happy in her grandmother's care for 15 months, then continue to rule on matters he did not have jurisdiction to do. Timeliness: Cancelled day of after we drove 5 hours.
