criminal case of a prolonged malicious prosecution and wrongful conviction that was overturned. 2015-2019. appealed and overturned 10/2020. 2020-2026. 2026 after defendant was being refused his item records and ineffective counsel working directly against his standing and violations, defendant asserted self representation rights and was systematically retaliated against and obstructed from court and records. Penitentiary joined and retaliated by obstructing mail, legal papers and preparation, refused documents and legal assistance, held in confinement over 60 days while refusing to transport to 4 scheduled hearings. personal property including care packs, access to commissary, basic hygiene and clean clothes, obstructed access to phone calls and Communications and the court and prison refused to honor his Power of Attorney while attempting to assist with requesting, obtaining, mailing records filings and requests on his behalf. when finally taken back to court after almost 5 months of a self represented defendant who was being obstructed from discovery and own case records he was immediately threatened by the judge that he needs to hurry up and settle the case or he's going to trial next month unprepared with no pre-trial preparations. she said in open court, you're going to either take a plea deal or trial. defendant declined plea and negotiations. asserted rights and violations as and requests for proper rulings on over 30 unheard filings, compell missing discovery and records that included material evidence, co-defendants statements, valid indictment and arrest/search warrants and time to prepare. asserted the retaliation and lack of ability to prepare or access courts and legal rulings. due process violations. objected to plea or trial by ambush. objected to 4 hearings without his presence notice or waiver, appointment of shadow counsel when absent also with no notice or permission. she stated oh well you're going to trial. set a date for plea negotiations the following month. that date came. state offered 35 years. he declined. she asked if he wanted to counter offer. he declined and objected to the hearing with no pre-trial and due process. judge asks do you want to be remanded to the jail before trial? he said no. trial in 2 weeks. 2 weeks later on 3/2 she really started a trial and made a mockery of him the entire time didn't allow to speak, object, present evidence or call witnesses. 3 says prior to trial he filed a recusal and an emergency notice to file supervisory writ and stay trial. she locked him in the court left him until it was clear for lunch then held his hearing to mock him again and tell him you think because you make a complaint and try to recuse me it's going to help? this entire recusal motion is a lie. I'm denying. I never lose. you're going to spend your life in Angola and never see the light of day again. the Attorney and da was sitting together laughing and said oh for the record do you need us to bring you some clothes? also for the past several months while in confinement and not brought to court, the DAs consistently went to his family tellin them you need to tell him and his Power of Attorney they are ruining his case. get him a lawyer and tell him he just needs to plea. it's not going to be good if he doesn't. they approached and pressured them consistently and every day of the trial and before they kept offering lower and lower with amended charges. he continued to deny. the last day of trial the judge still wanted to make a mockery in front of the Jury telling him he has to question himself on the stand to make him look ridiculous! she made his children grandma and family cry on day 1 of Jury selection before it began just by her attitude and how she treated him. it was pure hate and everyone saw it. we all made complaints against her before this all began and since it just got worse. the worst part this is a woman and a cheif judge. this man had a music career, 5 daughters , and a supportive family. Co-defendant who admitted to crimes and history record of similar crimes just pleaded and agreed to say anything to avoid life. he only got 20 years. case file missing everything that was necessary. evidence of evidence from crime lab testing all negative and all witnesses and Co defendants made several conflicting and inconsistent statements. no physical evidence!!!!! Legal Knowledge: This just is Chief Judge of The Criminal Court in Orleans Parish. She runs her courtroom as if she believes she is God and can do what she wants to who she wants and it you dont like it, you better not speak up or speak out.. you will be retaliated against and most likely be fired or if a defendant in front of her, she will give you the max even if you made a plea deal. Fairness & Impartiality: absolutely no fairness. no due process. Judicial Temperament: very unprofessional. walks in late in the front door with her regular clothes and high heels and puts her robe on sits down after inmates and everyone else is waiting in the court room. ends early everyday especially Fridays. may come one day you have a hearing scheduled and you'll find the door locked to her courtroom Communication: No clarity, doesn't even follow the rules of procedure or the constitution. Does not provide an accurate court of record and will instruct reporter to alter actual transcripts to conceal her hostile, bias and hate towards defendants especially ones that ask to represent themselves. refuses to respond to filings if she doesnt want to give defendant fairness, etc. this judge thinks she is untouchable and will break the law and conspire to force others to obstruct justice. she has many ties in the community so feels she is protected and can never be held accountable. dangerous because she doesn't even try to hide it anymore Timeliness: always late coming in after the public and inmates and always leave early
