I’d love to find one case he’s not handed custody over to the person whom is abusing the children with clear proof. Legal Knowledge: He knows them but he doesn’t apply them like he should! Fairness & Impartiality: Don’t walk into court expecting to share all your evidence or get a fair shot! Especially if it involves abuse. Judicial Temperament: Judge Cashe seems very calm at first. He almost makes you really believe he’s playing fair then he flips the script. Definitely not in the best interest of the children! Communication: Famous line - If you don’t like it you can appeal it to a higher court and they may agree with you…. Timeliness: Rules on expired ex-partes and when he denies them he still puts stipulations in place.

https://lajudicialcollege.org/LJC/CLE/22SS/WED1020DomesticeUpdates.pdf Jeffrey Cashe presided over the custody proceedings in my case that ultimately resulted in the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal decision in Paille v. Acosta, 2019-CU-1694. In that matter, the father sought to modify custody, and the court denied the requested modification after considering the evidence presented. The decision was later affirmed by the First Circuit Court of Appeal, which means the appellate court agreed that the trial court’s judgment was legally supported. From my perspective, Judge Cashe demonstrated a commitment to applying the law and evaluating the facts of the case carefully. Custody cases are often highly emotional and complex, but his courtroom handled the matter within the framework of Louisiana custody law and procedure. The fact that the appellate court affirmed the judgment reflects that the legal reasoning and application of the law in the case were sound. While family court matters can be difficult for all parties involved, I believe Judge Cashe approached the case with professionalism and judicial responsibility. My experience with the process showed that he followed the legal standards required in custody litigation and allowed the issues to be reviewed thoroughly through the appellate system. **I have attached links to my case below. https://law.justia.com/cases/louisiana/first-circuit-court-of-appeal/2020/2019cu1694.html
