after a juvenile had ran away from home and managed to get a drug charge on top of that, the district attorney was dead set on trying her as an adult and Max sentencing her. this juvenile was 15 years old at the time. Judge Williams is the most exceptional judge I have ever witnessed. although he considered the DA's decision, he went with his own independent decision. instead of not giving a second thought to this girl's Life and locking her up and throwing away the key as the da would have suggested, the judge was very empathetic and actually looked deeper into the case and went against the DA's wishes for this child. he told the child he believed in second chances and that when she graduated and done something good in her life he wanted to know. luckily, this child's mother was able to let him know not too long ago that this girl had remained clean and sober and is now an amazing mother and college student. in my opinion we need more judges like this..
