This review is based on a repeated pattern of conduct that raises serious concerns about Judge Jessica Stone’s judicial ethics, impartiality, professionalism, and fitness for the bench. The issue is not one isolated incident, but an ongoing pattern of retaliation, personal conflict, abuse of authority, and behavior completely inconsistent with the integrity, restraint, and sound judgment expected from a sitting judge. Legal Knowledge: LEGAL KNOWLEDGE- Anyone can learn the law. Not everyone has the character to wield it ethically. Judge Jessica Stone clearly understands how the family court system works — which is exactly why her conduct in her own personal family court matters is so disturbing. The pattern reflects bitterness, retaliation, and control far more than ethics, restraint, or professionalism. Real legal knowledge requires integrity. Without that, a law degree is just paper and a robe is just a costume. Fairness & Impartiality: FAIRNESS AND IMPARTIALITY require the ability to separate personal emotion from judicial responsibility. Based on Judge Jessica Stone’s conduct in her own personal conflicts, that separation appears completely absent. The pattern is not restraint, balance, or professionalism. It is retaliation, escalation, and emotionally driven behavior completely incompatible with judicial impartiality. Most disturbing of all, someone who understands the damage family court conflict causes appears willing to emotionally damage even her own children in pursuit of control and personal revenge. Judicial Temperament: JUDICIAL TEMPERMENT requires emotional control, restraint, maturity, and professionalism. Based on Judge Jessica Stone’s conduct outside the courtroom, those qualities appear seriously lacking. Public outbursts, hostile rants, dramatic accusations, and threats over minor personal disputes reflect someone driven more by anger and control than professionalism or composure. And when personal conflict repeatedly turns into retaliation and emotionally damaging behavior toward even her own children, the issue is no longer judicial temperament — it is fitness for the bench. Communication: COMMUNICATION from Judge Jessica Stone would almost be funny if it were not attached to someone holding judicial authority. The pattern is reactive, emotionally charged, and wildly disproportionate to the situation. Public outbursts, aggressive rants, and threats over minor personal issues do not reflect professionalism. They reflect someone unable to regulate emotion or handle conflict maturely. At some point, the behavior stops looking authoritative and starts looking unstable. Timeliness: TIMELINES AND ACCOUNTABILITY appear to apply only when they personally benefit Judge Jessica Stone. There seems to be constant urgency, pressure, and demands for compliance when expectations are placed on others, but far less concern for consistency when accountability applies to her own conduct. The pattern does not reflect fairness or professionalism. It reflects someone who appears to use timing, pressure, and process as tools for control and personal advantage rather than resolution or good faith. For someone entrusted with judicial authority, that lack of consistency should deeply concern the public.

Legal Knowledge: I had heard bad things about her but found her fair, compassionate, and interested in hearing as many details as possible to make a well informed ruling.

★☆☆☆☆ Litigant

Legal Knowledge: Bless her heart—and truly, bless any family that has to stand before her. I have been in her courtroom for over a year now. After spending five years in family court, I can say it is already stressful and overwhelming. That alone is hard enough. But it becomes even more concerning when there is a lack of consistency in how the law is applied and how orders are followed. There have been times where uncertainty was spoken out loud from the bench, with questions about what could or could not be done, followed by quick decisions in the moment. I have also seen a pattern where decisions seemed influenced by off-the-record conversations with others involved in the case, including GALs, FOC, CPS workers, prosecutors, and attorneys. In more than one instance, hearings were called back after a party had already left, and orders were changed in a way that negatively affected that person. It has also been difficult to see decisions that match what is actually in the case file, as the information presented did not always appear current or accurate. There are also serious concerns about the integrity of the record. Audio and video from these hearings appear to have been modified, raising questions about whether the recordings fully and accurately reflect what occurred in the courtroom. No system is perfect. But families deserve fairness, consistency, and clear adherence to the law. Without that, the process becomes confusing and deeply concerning for those involved.

DVO Fairness & Impartiality: Facts over emotions Judicial Temperament: Calm

★★★★☆ Verified attorney

Fairness & Impartiality: I find her to be fair. She does a good job at seeing through the BS and makes very fair rulings. Communication: Her orders are generally very thorough and she does a nice job of including all factual findings. it seems she follows along closely and takes good notes during hearings. Timeliness: this is really my only criticism. orders take a long time to come down. I've had to follow up with staff on status of an order and I don't love doing that
