This was a civil/family case. Legal Knowledge: Ashley traps litigants through her court orders. She’ll order something and won’t put an end date to make it where litigants can’t file for contempt on the other. She’ll put in her orders to do something and then she’ll deny motions submitted in the same context. Her court orders are unlike any other court order I’ve ever seen, so much so, the county clerk supervisor is confused upon reading them if you call with questions. Fairness & Impartiality: You could have all the evidence in the world to enter into the docket, all witness testimony testifying on your behalf, and she’ll dismiss all of it. Especially if you are pro se and the other party has counsel. If you prove bias and the biased party recuses themselves from the case, Ashley will not reprimand them. Be forewarned- Ashley will become very biased and flip the coin if you lose counsel. Judicial Temperament: Ashley has some patience and she keeps a neutral tongue. Or so you think. She’s quick to dismiss any concerns if it’s a high conflict case. Communication: Ashley’s court orders confuses litigants and court professionals. She word vomits and her orders are lengthy, with no clear resolution. Timeliness: Ashley isn’t too bad in this category.
