Family Case Legal Knowledge: I think he understands the law. He just has a problem applying it to his friends. He allowed name dropping, went against clear bar rules, said he had no jurisdiction off record but put a defective order in place anyway. Fairness & Impartiality: Did not let me speak or defend myself. Told me I could only answer with a yes or no to compound questions and did not allow me to explain on open ended questions, yet when his lawyer friend testified, she was able to speak freely on the record with no question even posed. Raised his voice, told me to shut up, and was very rude. Felt like he had already decided who was going to win before I said the first word. Double standards for sure. He actually let his lawyer friend testify for her friend who not present in the court room! Perversion of justice! Judicial Temperament: He is sweet as pie if you are his lawyer friend. If he already pre-judged you, he is giving you the stank eye and barking at you any chance he gets. He should not be a judge. Communication: He does not give orders on the record and then asks his lawyer friends to write orders that were not what actually happened in the courtroom. When my lawyer objected, he signed bad orders anyway. He was trained well in the Good Old Boy System! Good luck if you get this guy and your lawyer is not one of his buddies. Timeliness: He does not write his own orders so you are at the mercy of the lawyer he picked to write it.
