Custody case Legal Knowledge: Seems to be unfamiliar with family law. Very knowledgeable on courtroom procedure. Trusts the lawyers over self represented parties. does not take action when it is proven that attorney’s provided false information to the court. Fairness & Impartiality: I was told by my lawyer that she made up her mind, didn’t want a trial and there was no evidence I could provide her that would change her mind. Judicial Temperament: I think she carries herself well in court and is respectful. I have not seen her yell at anyone nor ridicule anyone so far. Communication: She has not indicated why she has ignored evidence of child neglect. She also has not addressed multiple order violations so far. that could change in the future, but this is what I’ve noticed so far. in a separate case I did see her order to have children returned to California, but she didn’t order sanctions in that case. She does seem to want to do the right thing and follow the law, but her actions communicate something different, I’m unsure what the issue is here. Timeliness: This judge is phenomenal with the timelines. She always shows up with a tailored schedule to keep cases moving along. This is by far her strongest area.
